Homebuyer Downpayment Assistance
With the help of OHFA Homebuyer Downpayment Assistance, 1,198 buyers purchased a home this past year.
Housing Choice Voucher Program
More than 10,100 families receive help paying rent with OHFA’s Housing Choice Voucher program.
Family Self-Sufficiency
OHFA’s Family Self-Sufficiency program enrolled 262 new participants this year. Ten families completed the program by completing goals toward financial independence. Two families purchased homes.
Affordable Housing Tax Credits
OHFA’s Housing Tax Credit programs created 1,962 rental units for families across Oklahoma this past year. OHFA allocated $15 million in federal tax credits and $4 million in state tax credits.
Performance Based Contract Administration
Through a contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, OHFA provides monitoring and payment services on behalf of 12,764 families living in 168 apartment communities statewide. OHFA disbursed more than $77 million to owners of these properties in 2019.
Multi-Family Bonds
OHFA allocated $47 million to develop 590 units in 2019.
HOME Investment Partnerships Program
The HOME Investment Partnerships Program provided $6.6 million to build 37 units of new rental housing and rehabilitate another 27. Additionally, non-profit organizations were able to assist 55 families with down payment assistance.
Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS
The HOPWA program disbursed $253,479 to two organizations so that they could provide housing services to 148 individuals.
Richard S. Lillard Emergency Housing Assistance Fund
OHFA’s Emergency Housing Assistance Fund provided $140,375 in immediate housing aid to 159 families whose homes were damaged or destroyed during the spring tornado and flood outbreak.
National Housing Trust Fund
With the National Housing Trust Fund, OHFA allocated $5 million. This creates an additional 72 rental units specifically for individuals who make at or below 30% of the Area Median Income.
